My First Lime Crime Order! Lipsticks and Nail polish.

16 Dec

Hi everyone! About three weeks ago on Cyber Monday I put in my FIRST order at Limecrime.com ever. I was sooooo excited! It took three weeks to get here, I’m assuming because its the holiday season, and It was everything I hoped it to be. Even though some people choose not to order from them I didn’t find anything wrong. So if you’re considering ordering from them I suggest you do! they have great, vibrant vegan lip products, nail polish, eye shadows, and soon will be adding face products.

I ordered 2 Unicorn Lipsticks, 1 Velvetine, and 1 Nail Polish.

I ordered 2 Unicorn Lipsticks, 1 Velvetine, and 1 Nail Polish.

The first things I took out of the package were the two Unicorn Lipsticks. I bought Babette and Coquette. Both are very pale pinks, one with a slightly more peach tone and one more true pink. Each one was $18.00. A little pricey, but I think its worth it because they glide on and are fairly opaque. DSC_0014

Next I opened my Velvetine. I was VERY excited to open this because I have never used one before! I bought their Velvetine in Cashmere. It is a mix between grey and beige as Lime Crime calls it “Greige”. I feel like it also has a slight pink hue to it as well. I bought this for $20.00. Very pretty color! I will probably be buying more 🙂DSC_0004

Last I ordered one of their nail polishes in Once in a Blue Mousse. I bought it for $8.00. Not bad. I’m not going to show you a swatch because I already have nail polish on and It looks like its opaque and shows up the same as it is in the bottle.DSC_0013If you want to know anything else about these products let me know! I have quickly fallen in love with this brand and I plan to order from them again soon. Whats your favorite lime crime product? I’d love to know!

LEFT TO RIGHT- Memento, queen, Digitalis, Super NSFW

Hi Everyone! I went to sephora yesterday and realized I haven’t bought a Lip Tar in quite a while… So I looked through and bought one and decided to swatch my favorites. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tar is a 100% cruelty free and vegan brand. Everything I have ever tried from this brand has been a hit. I have four of my favorite colors to share with you.

DSC_0814

Top corner to Bottom corner- Queen, Super NSFW, Memento, Digitalis.

Ok, I know this picture is a little dark, but its been a little rainy out and flash looked horrible. The color at the top corner is QUEEN. It is a VERY bright spring/ summer color. very pretty and bold. The second color is Super NSFW. It is a dark, metallic brick red. Great color for fall/ winter and stays on so long! I feel like this will look good on anyone! Third is my newest color, Memento. It is a slightly orange-y nude. This one is also great for fall and goes on nicely. And the last color is Digitalis which is a bright, pink-y lavender shade GREAT for spring! This color probably wont look great on everyone, so test the colors and see what works best for you. Overall these are some of my favorite lip products and they go on nicely and last a long time. I would love to see your favorite colors for fall!

October Vegan Cuts Box!

23 Oct

DSC_0780Hi Everyone! OK… I haven’t been on in a couple months…. I keep doing this! I have been so busy volunteering lately I haven’t found the time to blog! Now that kitten season is ending I don’t have as many fosters to take care of. SO, with that said here is my review of the October Vegan Cuts!

Not everyone knows about Vegan Cuts. Vegan Cuts is a monthly subscription box filled with vegan products either beauty or snack depending on what you choose. I cancelled my Ipsy subscription a few months back because I started feeling guilty receiving all those cruel products and I was getting terrible service! I am MUCH happier with this box and I am receiving much better service. ANYWAY, lets begin looking through 🙂

DSC_0783LOTUS WEI

The first product is this serum by LOTUS WEI in the scent Inner Peace. This is a really great brand who uses flower essences in serums, mists, and perfumes with a scent based off of what energy you want. I have been using this serum on my face every night for the past three nights. I honestly haven’t felt any more “inner peace” since using it, but it smells good and moisturizes my face!

DSC_0787FLOSS GLOSS

Next product in my October box is Floss Gloss nail lacquer in Blood Suede and Tears. OK, I have only tried a few vegan nail polish brands and I honestly love all of them. But for some reason this one has a really great pigment! I wasn’t in love with the color at the beginning (reddish brown) but its growing on me! I didn’t swatch this color on my nails because i’m already wearing polish at the moment but I promise its very nice.

DSC_0788LOVINAH

Third in the box is this AMAZING smelling coffee scrub. I’m a coffee scrub ADDICT. I use Frank coffee scrub twice a week and I’m very excited to try this one! Most coffee scrubs, in my opinion, all smell the same…. not this one. This one has vanilla in it and wow, it makes it that much better!

DSC_0793HYLUNIA

This is a Paraben and Phosphate-free vegan skincare sample set with four products. It comes with a mini Facial Cleansing Gel, Healing and Restoring Cream, Night Treatment, and Facial Day lotion. I have only been using these for a few nights since I got my box a few days ago! So far they haven’t dried me out or cause acne so I will continue to use up the products.

Overall I really liked my box. I pay $19.95 per month to receive 4-7 beauty products in each box. If you are making the switch to a vegan/ cruelty free lifestyle or you just want to try new products with less harsh chemicals this is a really good place to try them. If you have any vegan brand suggestions let me know! I always love to explore new brands 🙂

Too Faced- Natural Eyes Palette Review

9 Jun

Hey everyone! I know I do this a lot, where I post stuff for a while then i disappear. But I’m working on fixing that! So here’s a new review on the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette!! I purchased this palette at sephora for $36.00. I have been slowly growing my Too Faced collection and I thought I would share one of my favorite products. I just bought this palette YESTERDAY and it is already a favorite because of the quality, color, and pigment. I hope you enjoy!

photo (3)This Palette comes in a nice, hardy metal case and is easy to open because it keeps shut with a magnet. I think this palette will be great for travel because it have all different types of neutrals for different looks.

photo (4)

The palette also has a mirror and a how-to glamour guide that shows you three easy looks based off of each section labeled Day, Classic, and Fashion. The top row (day) starts with Heaven(Matte cream color). This color is great for a mate highlight or a basic blending color. Next to that is Cashmere Bunny (Cool-toned medium brown) which is a fantastic, easy to blend crease shade or all over shade. Last on the day section is Sexspresso (dark brown) is great for the outer corner and lashline.

The second row(Classic) consists of highly pigmented shimmers starting with Silk Teddy (Shimmery nude pink). This can look great above the crease or in the inner corner. Next is Push-Up (Shimmery pink-brown). This looks amazing all over the lid with other colors or alone. Last in the Classic section is Erotica (shimmery cool-toned dark brown). I LOVE this color. In the outer corner or blended into the lashline it always looks great. All these color look amazing together because they catch the light and draw attention to your eyes.

The last row (Fashion) has warmer colors that have a high pigment to make a statement. First in the last row is Nudie (Warmer light matte brown). I feel like this is the color in the palette you can use for anything! lashline, crease, all over, or just blending it looks great. Next is Honey Pot (Highly pigmented gold). Honey pot is great for catching light on the inner corner and the middle on the lid, definitely a new favorite. Last in the whole palette is Chocolate Martini (Dark warm brown with gold shimmers). Another great lashline color and great on the outer lid.

I hope you liked!! If you are looking for a great palette with every day neutrals this is it. tell me about your favorite too faced products! I would love to know your favorites before i buy them. Have a great day! hope its not too hot where you live 🙂

PACIFICA Indian Coconut Nectar- Take Me There Set

29 Apr

Hey everyone! So the snow here in Maryland is gone (YAY)… but the rain seems to keep coming! So to keep our minds off the weather, here’s a quick review! I have been wanting to try some pacifica things for a while and saw these kits were on sale at ULTA for $13.00 (originally $18.00). They only had a few scents so I picked up the Coconut nectar trio. The kit includes a body butter, a roller ball perfume, and their Color Quench Nautral Moisture Slim lip tint. Overall I think its a really nice kit if your not use to the brand.

pacificaStarting with the body butter. It has a nice texture but it seems to dry out my hands after an hour or two, then again I kind of expect that from a basic scented lotion. It smells pretty nice… to other people! When I put it on I noticed a weird smell behind it but my mom didn’t seem to notice it. I guess it depends on the person. The roller ball perfume is my favorite! It doesn’t have that same smell as the lotion and it seems to last a decent amount of time for a roller ball. Then the lip tint is nice. The colors of the tints depend on which scent you buy, this one has a darker nude color to it and looks really nice. It moisturizes just as well as any other balm, but this ones cruelty free 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this review! It’s always nice to introduce yourself to cruelty free brands. Some people run away from them when their products are just as good as anyone else! I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Mini Elf Haul!

11 Apr

ElfOkay, so not so much a haul but more of me just getting a few things from their website. Elf often has 50% off sales online! A lot of people are afraid to try them out because they are SO cheap. Yeah, they have some things I will NEVER repurchase but they also have some great dupes for higher end products! I will apologize in advance for not doing any swatches! My skin still hasn’t fully recovered from winter 😦

The first product I picked up is Elf’s High Definition powder ($6.00). It comes in a good sized container and is the PERFECT dupe for the MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microfinish Powder ($19.00-$34.00). For a way cheaper price It looks and feels exactly the same!

Elfpowder

Next I picked up Elf’s Eyebrow Treat and Tame in Medium ($3.00). I’m sure there are a ton of expensive versions of this stuff. But this one is slightly different. It has a “treat” clear gel with a brush type applicator and you brush it over your brows to smooth them. Then you use the “tame” half which is your typical colored brow gel on a wand. Really great product if you don’t want something too heavy but you still want your brows looking good!

ElfBrows

I have to admit, I was kind of skeptical about their lipsticks! I guess I just didn’t think a $3.00 lipstick was going to do anything. So I decided to try just one to see how it went. I picked up Elf’s Moisturizing Lipstick in Pink Minx. Its a perfect light pink floral color. goes on smooth, moisturizing, and the pigment is nice!

ElfLipstickPinkMinx

Along with the lipstick I also got their Lip Exfoliator ($3.00) Sure you can make one at home with a little sugar and oil, but I just had to try it because it has vitamin E oil, shea butter. And then it has avocado, grape, and jojoba oil. Not much to say about this! I mean, it works just as well as any other product like it. But it tastes delicious!

ElfLipExfoliant

Last I picked up two of their Studio Blushes ($3.00 each). I got a nice light pink color in Tickled Pink. Then I got a light, shimmery mauve in Mellow Mauve. Both colors look really great on and the color is gradual.

I got all these products for 50% off on Elf’s website! You can be informed about their sales by signing up for on their email list. I would love to hear your opinion on Elf! what products did you/ didn’t you like?

I decided to make this post because I love their products and just wanted to share what I liked!

Tarte Cosmetics Review

27 Dec

For Christmas I got several things from Tarte. I love them ALL! This brand is by far my favorite brand ever… I have never owned an item by them I didn’t like. I will be reviewing several things from tarte, such as the Tarte Of Giving kit, the Airbuki Brush, Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation, and the Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. All are products I use everyday because I just cant get enough!

Tarte Of Giving Collectors set and Travel Bag: This kit has everything you would ever need, really! First of all this kit comes with 20 limited edition eye shadows, some shimmery and some matte. These eye shadows are long lasting and well pigmented. Next it comes with 8 Maracuja lip glosses. I have been wearing these lip glosses non-stop! they are SO pigmented and stay on well. The kit also comes with 5 minis. a mini maracuja oil, a mini maracuja brightening eye treatment, a mini lights cameras lashes mascara, a mini limited edition blush in Memorable, and a mini cheek stain in Flush. all GREAT products and the mascara is to die for! all the makeup comes in a cute purple bag that doubles as a behind the door hanging makeup bag! Best Products Ever!

tarteAirbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush: This is the softest line of synthetic brushes! this brush is fantastic for buffing powder into your face. It grabs all the product and evenly distributes a thin layer onto your face with an even coverage. So if you need a new powder foundation brush I suggest this one!

tartepowderbrushAmazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation: I have been using a Maybelline powder foundation for the past few months and all it did was cake up and look ghostly… But THIS foundation feels like nothings there! It has a nice even coverage with a small amount. I’m in the color Fair Honey, which is the lightest color. It has a slightly pinkish undertone so it doesn’t show up paper white. 🙂

tartepowderMaracuja Creaseless Concealer: OK. So this stuff IS creaseless IF you remember to set it with a powder! Once you put it on it wont come off until you take it off! It is a waterproof, long-lasting concealer! I also love that they have a nice range of colors for different undertones.tarte concealer

As you can tell, Tarte Cosmetics has not failed me yet! everything is wonderful, feels good on your skin, and looks great in every light. So go out there and pick up some Tarte! even something small is a great product. ADDED BONUS: 100% Vegan 😉

My Top 3 LUSH products for Fall/Winter!

4 Oct

I wanted to show you guys my favorite cold month products because sometimes its so hard to find things that look good on dry skin! I have been starting to get flaking skin on my forehead so bad that i cant even wear foundation right now! Instead of foundation i have been using the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer on my trouble spots (Love this stuff!). This post is to show you what I feel is best for when your skin gets dry for if anyone else needs some opinions!

First thing on my list is the Imperialis face moisturizer. I was recommended this by the lady who worked there because she said it cured her dry skin (she had baby skin!). I got a sample and tried it for a week. I was blown away by how well it helped, I’m actually buying the full size tomorrow! my skin is so soft and the dry patch is almost gone! You can purchase is at LUSH for $24.95

Lush2Second on my list Is the Lip Service Lip Balm. This stuff is fantastic!! I also get really dry lips when it gets cold out, go figure! Lip Service is a beeswax based lip repairing balm with all natural ingredients. I bought this at LUSH for $7.25 and use it three times a day. my lips are SO SOFT! I use this alone, or under lipsticks. They also say that you can use this lip balm on other dry parts such as your Elbows or Cuticles. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

LUSH3The last LUSH product on my list is their OATIFIX Face Mask for DRY skin. Their main ingredient is Organic Bananas. Oats are VERY soothing for dry, flaky skin. I got this for $6.95. Its not necessarily my favorite thing for moisturizing, but at the same time it doesnt dry you out. But it is a great, gentle way to calm and exfoliate that dead skin!

Lush4 You can get all these products in store or at http://www.lush.com. I hope I gave you guys some new options to try for dry skin! these products really are great, I have been loving lush for so long! All their products are cruelty free too which is an added Bonus 🙂 I am not sponsored/ being paid to make this post, I just love their products so much! Let me know what your favorite LUSH product is! Have a wonderful day 🙂

Halloween Look #2

20 Sep

Hey Guys!! This look is what I wore last year for Halloween, but I put so much effort into it I thought I should post it!  I couldn’t believe how many people I scared with this look (haunted garage). What you need to accomplish this look are the basic Special Effects makeup such as: Liquid Latex, Fake Gel Blood, Fake Blood, Spirit Gum/ Remover, small latex wounds, and a Small and cheap palette consisting of red, black, white, and grey.

Halloween#2This is a look that will look good many different ways. All you have to do is apply your latex wounds where you think they would look best, then apply small gashes using the liquid latex. let them dry for a few minutes before apply makeup. When they seem like they are sticking enough you can start blending with foundation, and adding black and red to the wounds. Add a little grey to your entire face and add a little fake blood. Taadaa! You are now zombified! Add your own extras such as the frizzed out hair and the ripped up shirt. Have fun! I would love to know what you will be for Halloween in the comments below! AND If you have never used Liquid latex before I HIGHLY recommend doing a patch test on the underside of your wrist a day ahead! We don’t want any puffy faces!!

Halloween Look #1

19 Sep

Hey Guys! I LOVE Halloween time! I always have to try as many looks as possible before I choose one. So I thought I would share with you some of my Halloween looks through out the next few weeks to show you what I like, and to give you some easy ideas!halloween#1Every year I have to be something scary because we go to a “haunted” garage walk-through and volunteer. This look is VERY basic and anyone can achieve it with a little eyeliner and a little lip liner! For the outline of each black marking on my face I used some liquid eyeliner in BLACK (Jesse’s Girl liquid eyeliner). To fill in the lined areas I used the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel eyeliner in BLACK, and set it with any matte black shadow. For the teeth, I outlined little jagged marks around my lips and then filled them in with NYX eye pencil in WHITE. For the scars on my chest I simply used a dark lipstick (MAC’s Russian Red) and smudged it until it looked realistic enough. Lastly, add a dark reddish eyeshadow to random parts of your face and neck for a bruised effect.  Have Fun! I would love to hear what your favorite Halloween beauty item is in the comments below!
