October Vegan Cuts Box!

23 Oct

DSC_0780Hi Everyone! OK… I haven’t been on in a couple months…. I keep doing this! I have been so busy volunteering lately I haven’t found the time to blog! Now that kitten season is ending I don’t have as many fosters to take care of. SO, with that said here is my review of the October Vegan Cuts!

Not everyone knows about Vegan Cuts. Vegan Cuts is a monthly subscription box filled with vegan products either beauty or snack depending on what you choose. I cancelled my Ipsy subscription a few months back because I started feeling guilty receiving all those cruel products and I was getting terrible service! I am MUCH happier with this box and I am receiving much better service. ANYWAY, lets begin looking through 🙂

DSC_0783LOTUS WEI

The first product is this serum by LOTUS WEI in the scent Inner Peace. This is a really great brand who uses flower essences in serums, mists, and perfumes with a scent based off of what energy you want. I have been using this serum on my face every night for the past three nights. I honestly haven’t felt any more “inner peace” since using it, but it smells good and moisturizes my face!

DSC_0787FLOSS GLOSS

Next product in my October box is Floss Gloss nail lacquer in Blood Suede and Tears. OK, I have only tried a few vegan nail polish brands and I honestly love all of them. But for some reason this one has a really great pigment! I wasn’t in love with the color at the beginning (reddish brown) but its growing on me! I didn’t swatch this color on my nails because i’m already wearing polish at the moment but I promise its very nice.

Third in the box is this AMAZING smelling coffee scrub. I’m a coffee scrub ADDICT. I use Frank coffee scrub twice a week and I’m very excited to try this one! Most coffee scrubs, in my opinion, all smell the same…. not this one. This one has vanilla in it and wow, it makes it that much better!

DSC_0793HYLUNIA

This is a Paraben and Phosphate-free vegan skincare sample set with four products. It comes with a mini Facial Cleansing Gel, Healing and Restoring Cream, Night Treatment, and Facial Day lotion. I have only been using these for a few nights since I got my box a few days ago! So far they haven’t dried me out or cause acne so I will continue to use up the products.

Overall I really liked my box. I pay $19.95 per month to receive 4-7 beauty products in each box. If you are making the switch to a vegan/ cruelty free lifestyle or you just want to try new products with less harsh chemicals this is a really good place to try them. If you have any vegan brand suggestions let me know! I always love to explore new brands 🙂

Too Faced- Natural Eyes Palette Review

9 Jun

Hey everyone! I know I do this a lot, where I post stuff for a while then i disappear. But I’m working on fixing that! So here’s a new review on the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette!! I purchased this palette at sephora for $36.00. I have been slowly growing my Too Faced collection and I thought I would share one of my favorite products. I just bought this palette YESTERDAY and it is already a favorite because of the quality, color, and pigment. I hope you enjoy!

photo (3)This Palette comes in a nice, hardy metal case and is easy to open because it keeps shut with a magnet. I think this palette will be great for travel because it have all different types of neutrals for different looks.

photo (4)

The palette also has a mirror and a how-to glamour guide that shows you three easy looks based off of each section labeled Day, Classic, and Fashion. The top row (day) starts with Heaven(Matte cream color). This color is great for a mate highlight or a basic blending color. Next to that is Cashmere Bunny (Cool-toned medium brown) which is a fantastic, easy to blend crease shade or all over shade. Last on the day section is Sexspresso (dark brown) is great for the outer corner and lashline.

The second row(Classic) consists of highly pigmented shimmers starting with Silk Teddy (Shimmery nude pink). This can look great above the crease or in the inner corner. Next is Push-Up (Shimmery pink-brown). This looks amazing all over the lid with other colors or alone. Last in the Classic section is Erotica (shimmery cool-toned dark brown). I LOVE this color. In the outer corner or blended into the lashline it always looks great. All these color look amazing together because they catch the light and draw attention to your eyes.

The last row (Fashion) has warmer colors that have a high pigment to make a statement. First in the last row is Nudie (Warmer light matte brown). I feel like this is the color in the palette you can use for anything! lashline, crease, all over, or just blending it looks great. Next is Honey Pot (Highly pigmented gold). Honey pot is great for catching light on the inner corner and the middle on the lid, definitely a new favorite. Last in the whole palette is Chocolate Martini (Dark warm brown with gold shimmers). Another great lashline color and great on the outer lid.

I hope you liked!! If you are looking for a great palette with every day neutrals this is it. tell me about your favorite too faced products! I would love to know your favorites before i buy them. Have a great day! hope its not too hot where you live 🙂

PACIFICA Indian Coconut Nectar- Take Me There Set

29 Apr

Hey everyone! So the snow here in Maryland is gone (YAY)… but the rain seems to keep coming! So to keep our minds off the weather, here’s a quick review! I have been wanting to try some pacifica things for a while and saw these kits were on sale at ULTA for $13.00 (originally $18.00). They only had a few scents so I picked up the Coconut nectar trio. The kit includes a body butter, a roller ball perfume, and their Color Quench Nautral Moisture Slim lip tint. Overall I think its a really nice kit if your not use to the brand.

pacificaStarting with the body butter. It has a nice texture but it seems to dry out my hands after an hour or two, then again I kind of expect that from a basic scented lotion. It smells pretty nice… to other people! When I put it on I noticed a weird smell behind it but my mom didn’t seem to notice it. I guess it depends on the person. The roller ball perfume is my favorite! It doesn’t have that same smell as the lotion and it seems to last a decent amount of time for a roller ball. Then the lip tint is nice. The colors of the tints depend on which scent you buy, this one has a darker nude color to it and looks really nice. It moisturizes just as well as any other balm, but this ones cruelty free 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this review! It’s always nice to introduce yourself to cruelty free brands. Some people run away from them when their products are just as good as anyone else! I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Tarte Cosmetics Review

27 Dec

For Christmas I got several things from Tarte. I love them ALL! This brand is by far my favorite brand ever… I have never owned an item by them I didn’t like. I will be reviewing several things from tarte, such as the Tarte Of Giving kit, the Airbuki Brush, Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation, and the Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. All are products I use everyday because I just cant get enough!

Tarte Of Giving Collectors set and Travel Bag: This kit has everything you would ever need, really! First of all this kit comes with 20 limited edition eye shadows, some shimmery and some matte. These eye shadows are long lasting and well pigmented. Next it comes with 8 Maracuja lip glosses. I have been wearing these lip glosses non-stop! they are SO pigmented and stay on well. The kit also comes with 5 minis. a mini maracuja oil, a mini maracuja brightening eye treatment, a mini lights cameras lashes mascara, a mini limited edition blush in Memorable, and a mini cheek stain in Flush. all GREAT products and the mascara is to die for! all the makeup comes in a cute purple bag that doubles as a behind the door hanging makeup bag! Best Products Ever!

tarteAirbuki Bamboo Powder Foundation Brush: This is the softest line of synthetic brushes! this brush is fantastic for buffing powder into your face. It grabs all the product and evenly distributes a thin layer onto your face with an even coverage. So if you need a new powder foundation brush I suggest this one!

tartepowderbrushAmazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation: I have been using a Maybelline powder foundation for the past few months and all it did was cake up and look ghostly… But THIS foundation feels like nothings there! It has a nice even coverage with a small amount. I’m in the color Fair Honey, which is the lightest color. It has a slightly pinkish undertone so it doesn’t show up paper white. 🙂

tartepowderMaracuja Creaseless Concealer: OK. So this stuff IS creaseless IF you remember to set it with a powder! Once you put it on it wont come off until you take it off! It is a waterproof, long-lasting concealer! I also love that they have a nice range of colors for different undertones.tarte concealer

As you can tell, Tarte Cosmetics has not failed me yet! everything is wonderful, feels good on your skin, and looks great in every light. So go out there and pick up some Tarte! even something small is a great product. ADDED BONUS: 100% Vegan 😉

Exuviance Skincare Review!

9 Sep

Hey everyone! So yesterday I went to ULTA and had no idea they were having a makeup event! They had a counter for PURMinerals, Benefit Cosmetics, and Exuviance Skincare. The only counter I had time to go to was the Exuviance counter where I got a wonderful facial consisting of a Facial cleansing, Performance Peel, and a moisturizing. They even did a foundation application.Exuviance

The first thing they did was take off all my foundation with their Moisturizing Anti-bacterial Facial Cleanser. It is a nice, gentle, unscented, anti-bacterial cleanser. I have no bad comments about it but I need more time to see results.

The second product they used was their popular Performance Peel. It is a Glycolic Facial Peel that gets rid of the top layer of dead skin and stimulates new skin growth. I loved it! I loved the results when I got home because I noticed the top layer of skin was gone! The only problem is that it is a little too pricey for my liking ($72.00) so I didn’t end up buying it.

Then they used their Glycolic Expert Moisturizer. It moisturized my face very well, but I did not see it being any better than ones I use at home. Therefor I didn’t buy it.

Lastly, I got to try their Coverblend Concealing Treatment Foundation. She showed me some pictures of people who have used it to cover severe acne or tattoos. I do not have any severe acne, so I did not understand the point of using this foundation. I would never ever try their foundation again! It was some of the worst foundation I have EVER tried. She applied a ton of product which made me believe it isn’t full coverage. After I looked in the little mirror I saw it did not match my skin tone and you could see all the buildup of product in my deep lines around my nose area and under eyes. After we left ULTA I tried to blend out the foundation and it started to roll off! I do NOT recommend their foundation even if you have severe acne because it feels cakey. So If you ever get to try their products I recommend their facial treatments and under eye treatments, or their moisturizers. Most their products are not worth their price! So choose wisely! let me know if you have tried any of their products!

Get fuller lips with Too Faced + Poll!

2 Sep

So my lips are little tiny pink strips on my face… I was so desperate to find something to help! I have tried many drugstore lip plumpers, bare minerals Buxom, and more. One day I walked into sephora and tried on the Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme. Omg. I immediately fell in love! This stuff tingled and burned for a good five minutes but my lips were pink, full and well… Plumped! I believe I got this for around $28.00 (Kind of a splurge, I know). It can be used once a day or as a daily/ nightly lip treatment (depending on your tolerance). I use it twice daily! I have been inlove with it since I bought it! I definitely recommend this for people with small lips, or anyone who just wants some extra “volume”!

Too Face Lip Injection Extreme $28.00 (I think they redesigned the bottle)

I hope you enjoyed this! if you have any questions about this product please ask!

St. Tropez tan review!

20 Aug

I’m SO pale! I’m like as white as paper year round. I have tried about five or six different drugstore brands of self tanning stuff. I have tried lotions, sprays, and foams… all made me orange or patchy. ANYWAY, I saw many many reviews of St. Tropes on YouTube saying how fantastic it is! So with some extra money I bought the mini bottle of their foam ($18) and the self tanning mitt ($6.50) and gave it a go. LOVE IT! It dries fast, smells GOOD, doesn’t make me patchy AND it doesn’t make me ORANGE! When you pump it onto the mitt, after preparing your skin of course, it looks VERY dark and has a green/olive undertone. This is great because it gives you a natural tan with out that “orange glow”. So even if you do mess up a little bit in application its usually OK because once you get your shower it comes out pretty even! So if you have skin as white as mine I highly suggest trying this out! tanner

Smashbox Jet Set Waterproof gel eyeliner

11 Aug

I have spent around 6 months looking for what I would call the “perfect” gel liner… I found it a last week and it is the Smashbox Jet Set gel liner! It’s AMAZING! It goes on smoothly, very pigmented, dries fast, and stays put for the entire day! I got mine at ULTA for $22.00. I was a little scared of the price at first, but when I got it I loved it! If your in need of a great gel liner this is it! now that i found the perfect gel liner, whats your favorite LIQUID liner? i would love recommendations!smashliner

Smashbox Pop of Pink Review!

5 Aug

So I turned 17 the other day, Yay! And I wanted to review one of the things I got with some birthday money! I haven’t tried much Smashbox other than some lipgloss and mascara, but I saw this little value kit and had to get it! It’s super cute with four pink colored items including a lipstick, lipgloss, mascara, and blush! So here’s what came in it and what I thought.Smashbox1Here’s a picture of the bright pink makeup that came in the box.

Smashbox2On The top is the Reflection High Shine lipgloss in Pop Of Pink and the bottom is their Be Legendary Lipstick in Posy Pink. I love both these products a ton! The lipstick goes on smooth and gives a really nice pigmentation! I just might prefer it over M.A.C.! The lipgloss also has great color, the only problem I have with it is that it may be a little too sticky for me. Other than that it lasts a good while!

Smashbox3This is their blush in Pop Of Pink. I put on a stronger amount on the left to show you how much color it really has! The color on the right is a sheerer coat, something a little more practical for me. It is a VERY pretty blush! It blends well onto the skin, gives a nice glow, and stays put!

Smashbox4This mascara is their Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black, AKA my new favorite mascara! As you can see in the picture the brush is HUGE and has a good sized bottle too. I always have trouble finding a mascara that will lengthen, de-clump, AND stay all day. I have only worn this mascara today, but it didn’t fail me! If you are thinking about getting a kit by smash box I recommend this! This is their POP Of PINK box, but they also have a bronze one too. At ULTA I got this kit on sale for $29.00 when it was $39.00 and it also says it’s an $87 value! So happy I got it 🙂

Butter London Mani in Slapper

23 Jul

This is one of my favorite polishes! this brand in general has such great polish! Its smooth, pigmented, and has a smaller brush ( I like this better that thicker ones) The color i’m wearing is named Slapper. It is the perfect teal. I got mine at Ulta for $15.00, a little pricey but worth it! I also recommend their nail strengtheners and cuticle treatments! I would love to hear what your favorite butter london colors are!
